Good Evening!  Enjoying a 3 day weekend.  It has been very cold out here, but we did get some snow last night into this morning, not a lot but enough.  Over the weekend, the winds were very strong causing huge waves on the lake, so our beautiful park looks like the Hoth planet from Star Wars.  Me, Livi and Ben ventured out there today to look around.  Check out the video and pics below.  Stay warm and enjoy your week.

I made this the other night, and we had soup and sandwiches.  It has a good flavor, I would of liked it a little bit thicker, which is probably because I didn’t let it get thick enough.

I guess you can say I have officially started my book.  I plan to start with my own anthology of romantic stories.  I have joined Dan’s critique group and sent off several of my stories to start.  I will be writing new ones to add.  It’s just the beginning stages, but it is now a work in progress, and not just a thought

Good Morning!  Happy New Year!!  Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.  It seems like I’ve been gone forever, with both the holidays landing on Monday.  That just threw me off also, my days were all mixed up.  The boys are back at school on Wednesday, and I’ve finished up my big projects I was working on, but there’s some more work on the horizon for me, once things get worked out, I’ll let you know.  Hope everyone is staying warm.  I can say that and pretty much include everyone, as it seems the deep freeze has affected the earth.  Okay, maybe not, but my friends in Florida are surely feeling the chill.  I would like more snow, hopefully that will happen soon.  Have a wonderful week ahead!!

I did try the Brown Buttered Carrots, and they were really good.  I think I cooked them a little too long, but the flavor is really good.  Find that recipe here.

WHAT’S HAPPENING:

I don’t make resolutions, but I usually like to think of the new year as a clean slate, I’m more motivated and excited to see what this year will bring.  I’m looking and planning for some good things this year.  Not to mention this year I will be turning 50, yikes!!  But I am embracing my age, my wisdom, but not the gray hair 😉

This is another addition to our holiday decorations.  I gave this to my oldest son.  Yoda spent most of the holiday season sitting on Rudolph that we got last year, lol.  Forgot to get a pic of that before we put all the decorations away.
